Hong fu is a very nice restaurant for dinner. A little pricey, this restaurant does provide adequate service and a nice presentation. The lemon chicken, however, was rather bland but nicely presented. Nice oolong tea. Slow with the bill and water service. |

Hong Fu is a large sized restaurant as 'shopping center' Asian restaurants go. It is very up scale in appearance and has 2 private dining areas each able to serve 60 guest. The food is outstanding. One of the special features of this place is that they are able and willing to accommodate large groups and will design any special items you desribe at very resonable cost. For the past 4 years our group of 60 people has held its annual 14 course Chinese New Year dinner there. |

The decor is better than many of the Chinese restaurants in the area. There is a koi pond with a fountain just inside the resturaunt. The walls have tiny half columns and there is a display case near the entrance, all filled with lovely little Chinese artifacts. There are several large tables meant to accomodate groups. There is a seperate area meant to accompany parties, for instance, a wedding reception. The bathroom isn't the nicest, or the area leading back to the bathroom, but the rest of the dining area is 'ok'.
The food for the most part is very good, though occasionally you'll find additions in your dish that aren't in the description of the meal (like fish rolls in the sizzling rice soup). Sometimes the dishes come out a little overly oily, especially if its 'to go' and they dumped it all into your box. |
