There is a large variety of food selections; anything from Lasagna to Hamburgers to Stir Fry. The food is the ideal home cooked food. Everything sold in the restaurant is comfort food and is quite delicious, especially their Baby Back BBQ RIBS. They give you a long list of choices for the side dishes right on the menu but you get to pick whether you can handle on side dish with a meal or three with just a dollar difference between the two. Along with their dinners comes a choice of homemade breads banana nut, apple crisp, and marble swirl (each dinner gets a half loaf of this bread but the loaves are about six inches long...very cute and tasty.) This restaurant is a small ma and pop type but it does fit quite a few people inside. The atmosphere is very friendly and southern...if you come in through the back way the cooks greet you and by the front door the wait staff will greet you. This restaurant is definetly for the family or a great meeting place for friends. The wait staff, in overalls and name tags, welcomes you very warmly with smiles and jokes. The cost is pretty good you get a lot of food for a low cost, free refills on soft drinks and coffee (by the way the coffee cups are HUGE.)

Food: Large selections. Breakfast is served all day. One word that would discribe the food is: comfort. The meals are just like ma's homemade meals. The portions are huge and very filling. The menu suggests that if you go home hungry after eating a dinner there then you didn't clean your plate. And it's true. There is a kids menu and Senior menu(which has a large selection.)
The wait staff is very friendly and seem to be always smiling. They will greet you at both enterances and you get to pick where you want to sit. There is a smoking section and non-smoking but the restaurant is small. The wait staff have to wear bibs/overalls and name tags. When kids come in the wait staff likes to give them a toy and crayons to help wait out the time it takes for their food to be served.
The aspect of the Kountry Kitchen is a southern feel about the restaurant. They play old and sometimes new Country music on the XM Radio.
I recommend this restaurant to everyone. I believe for what you get on your plate or plates it's not very pricey. In other words you won't break your pocket book. You can make reservations or drop in unexpectedly either way you are welcome. This is a great place for the family or geeting together with friends.
I am an employee of this restaurant. |
