I agree with anonymous that the food is very good....but I wouldn't drive 2 hours for the take-out. :) There are plenty of great Chinese restaurants around the Ashburn-Sterling area. Chengs is in my opinion the best in the area. House of Emperor is...I would say...slightly above average. |

We've eaten there several times and it's just average food. Many dishes taste similar. Too much sauce. Not enough distinct flavor. |

Best food, best service! The service makes you feel so very much at home and anticipates your every need and desire - even before you think of them. The waitstaff remembers you on your second trip and evens remembers what you ordered last time and what you especially liked. My family and I go there and have brought our extemded family. We request to sit in Anna's section each time. Anna is not only wonderful waitress, but she is a very special and very sweet woman. She has gotten to know all my family, brother and his family, sister and her family, my mother and father. We go to House of Emperor whenever any family is in town. We love the relaxing, homey feeling. We feel welcome the moment we walk in the door.
And, on top of it all, the food is just outstanding. The food alone is worth the trip. I'm lucky. I live in town. But, I would drive two hours just for take-out. Yes, the food is that good. There is no genuine Chinese restaurant in all of Virginia that offers food that is even a tenth the quality of House of Emperor. Not to be insulting...but if you go anywhere else for Chinese food, you are wasting your time and mon |
